We are a creative group of Wrenshall High School media program students—a creative collective of students, if you will—taught by Miss Chloe Swanson, and we create creative creations!
The thing that started it all…
Wrenshall Film Collective
Est. 2022-2023
The Wrenshall Film Collective was a student initiative that came out of our photojournalism class.
We started making a yearbook ad and ended up with a three part short film trilogy titled Coffee Breath with a plot loosely based on selling yearbooks…
From this class, we saw we had the talent and skill to expand our media program at Wrenshall and offer a new class: Media Production. In this class, we don’t have to tie our plots to selling a yearbook!
Photojournalists
One of our media elective is: PHOTOJOURNALISM! In this class, we create the yearbook, and we also cover the various events and personalities in our Wrenshall and Raptors communities through social media, a magazine, and a podcast!

We always look for ways to share joy and creativity with our community by showcasing student voice. We pave avenues for connection by increasing exposure & understanding in the Wrenshall learning community!

Wrenshall’s First Student-Led Podcast
Our students are inquisitive, kind, outgoing, and entrepreneurial. The Expo—a companion podcast to our first student-run magazine, The Exposure—was a venture that came about naturally for the WCC.
Our student hosts—AJ Olesen, Brysen Jessup, Lexi Swanson, and Sam Daniels—lead various interviews about:
Community happenings
Student accomplishments and interests
Extracurricular activities
Life in general
And silly stuff, too!
